Making feather shuttlecocks last longer

If you live in hot tropical areas and wish to make your shuttles
last longer and more enjoyable to play with here's something you can do
to save money :
Empty the tube of shuttles into a plastic shopping bag and tie it up
and put it in the fridge for 1-2 days before putting them back into the tube
to use.
Hot weather tends to make the feathers dry and brittle and fly like a missile
and snap easily.A well hydrated shuttle is soft and pliable and will fly as well as a real bird with properly preened feathers in flight.
